During cataract surgery, LOTUS VISION’s Dr. Ajit Nemi implants the Light Adjustable Lens in the same manner performed with conventional cataract surgery. Approximately two to three weeks following surgery, Dr. Ajit Nemi administers an office-based ultraviolet (UV) light treatment that adjusts the power of the intraocular lens implant to reduce or eliminate residual refractive errors. This can be repeated two to three times until the patient has achieved the desired vision outcome, while a final treatment “locks-in” the power of the intraocular lens implant and preserves the best vision outcome.
