On January 10th, Minister of Industry and Information Technology, Miao Wei, described the development blueprint of 5G technology in an exclusive interview and said China will issue 5G temporary licenses in several cities, enabling large-scale networking in some cities.The 5G era will spawn a huge emerging market—the large-scale application and operation management of smart street lights.

Beijing Smart City Project—Zuoanmen West Street
The smart pole system designed and manufactured by Shanghai Sansi has successfully landed in Beijing Zuo’anmen. The sets have gold and bronze poles with auspicious clouds and beige poles, especially for its “high technology”, can also charge electric vehicles, connect WIFI to mobile phones, monitor roads video information and PM2.5, publish temperature and wind speed or other information. The integration of Multi-pole System—Shanghai Entering Expo
Shanghai Hongqiao Airport is the main route for visitors to the Shanghai National Convention and Exhibition Center. Shanghai Sansi provided more than 500 sets of “multi-pole integration” for the roads around the Import Expo Fair (Youle Road, Yingle Road, Lianhong Road, Suining Road, etc.), which fully assisted the Expo to ensure traffic safely and smoothly.
The first large-scale application of LED smart street light project system—Jiangsu Hongze
Jiangsu Hongze urban smart street light project is the first large-scale LED smart street light system in China. It consists of 3000 sets intelligent dimming LED street light, 31 sets of smart street light and system platform. The total amount is nearly 30 million, which is the best among other projects.
Shanghai Sansi smart street lights have been installed in Hongze, Jiangsu. It is widely used for intelligent lighting, information releasing, data acquiring, security monitoring, and communicating. In the upper part of the pole, Sansi is equipped with an LED display with pixel density P3 in the outdoor environment. The temperature, humidity, wind speed, wind direction, PM2.5 and other information are clearly shown on the screen.
Build Smart city management system projecy—Jiangxi Ruijin
Based on the digital urban management system of Ruijin City, the total investment scale of the project is 51.43 million yuan. It can implement intelligent collection and analysis of urban events and components, parking, lighting, and so on. Intelligent monitoring of facilities, wireless WiFi, and the construction of multiple intelligent urban integrated management systems such as sanitation, vehicle dispatching, and emergency command and support.

Q: Smart street lights are very popular with the advent of the 5G era. Do you think it will have a fever or unevenness effect during 2006-2008?
A: We can’t deny the fact that there will be a lot of participants when the market is in a hot expectation. The reasons why the LED street lights swarmed in the past was that it was just changing the light source. The iteration of the hardware equipment, the entry threshold was not high, and finally caused the phenomenon of unevenness.
Otherwise, the smart street light is a system integrating LED lighting, displaying, monitoring and software development applications as well as long-term management. It is a comprehensive solution that must be balanced and compatible internally and externally.
Q: Why are many smart cities willing to cooperate with Sansi by street pole system? What is your competitiveness?
A: As mentioned, the smart pole system is not just a separate hardware device, but a solution of multiple hardware and software integration. Internally, the smart street pole system itself is a mature and reliable control system made by Sansi. It requires LED lighting, LED display, light pole and other hardware.
Externally, smart street lights, as the ending users of the smart city, it must achieve seamless access, compatibility, data docking with the operating platforms of various functional departments (public security, transportation, environment, urban management, communications, etc.). Thus putting higher requirements on the system development of smart street lighting enterprises. If this is not done or done well, the city management may have unimaginable effects.
