I’m sure that you’re tired of listening to your mom or doctors to tell you to start working out, but have you ever given a thought of the reason why they tell you that all the time?

If you have but you haven’t really found the reasons yet, we’ve prepared a list of a few things that you may not know about working out.

What you didn’t know…

1. There’s evidence that proves that the reduction of the level of physical activity is the fundamental factor in the increase of obesity

2. Physical inactivity is currently the second cause of death in the world!

3. Diabetes, hypertension, cardiovascular problems, some types of cancer, osteoporosis, and others, have a similar origin: sedentary lifestyle.

4. RECIPE FOR HEALTH: Walk for 30 to 60 minutes at a brisk pace, all or almost every day of the week, throughout your life.

5. Dividing the workout into 2 or 3 shorter time periods can be almost as effective as a 60-minute session.

6. Every adult between 18 and 65 years old, healthy, requires a minimum of 30 minutes of moderate aerobic physical activity, 5 days a week = 150 min/week

7. Signs and/or alarm symptoms that suggest that you STOP PHYSICAL ACTIVITY: Chest pain, fatigue and shortness of breath, feeling dizzy or unstable, fading and nausea.

8. For weight loss, you require a minimum of 60 minutes of moderate aerobic physical activity, 5 days a week = 300 min/week.

9. Your exercise should be pleasant, comfortable, “without choking”, “without pain”, that allows you to have a conversation with some degree of difficulty.

What we recommend…

10. Exercise the main muscle groups, at least 2 times a week, in order to preserve muscle mass and increase metabolism.

11. Increase the duration of your training sessions progressively. Add 5 minutes a week until you reach 1 hour of daily physical activity.

12. It is not advisable to perform high-intensity exercise if you are sedentary. You could hurt yourself.

13. Keep in mind that leaving a sedentary lifestyle to being a HEALTHY person is a lifestyle, not a small change of a few days.

14. Your physical activity should be added to the activities of daily life.

If you’re looking to start working out but you’re tired of always jogging around your neighborhood, you can try with some different disciplines such as: running, 極限運動, swimming, which you can do at a special sports camp.
